Overland Models P42DC

Lots of sound from this fine model!

The large quantity of grille openings on the shell made the acoustic design a challenge with this loco. The final design used styrene plastic to duct the sound out the front grilles, with the sound coming off the cone side of the speaker coming out past the trucks and the rear grille openings.

The decoder was mounted inside the shell and wired to the motor and track pickup via a 4-pin connector. This connector could be built from NEM-651 6-pin connectors, or the connectors could be used as is.
